    What sets a system's life

    Four things behind every clock.

    Installation

Proper sizing, sealed ducts and a correct charge matter more than the brand.

    Maintenance

Cleaned coils, clear drains and tested parts help equipment reach its full life.

    Use

A system that runs all day in a hot attic lives a harder life than one in a mild room.

    Environment

Salt, dust, pets and clogged filters all wear equipment faster.

    Good questions

    Life Clock questions

Should I repair or replace my system?

A repair makes sense when the system is in its middle years and the fix is small compared with a new one. A big repair on an old or failing system is usually money better spent on replacement. We show you both options in writing, and our Life Clock shows where your equipment sits in its typical life.

How often should I have my system serviced?

Once a year for each system is a good habit: cooling in spring and heating in fall. A tune-up cleans, measures and tests, so small problems are found before they become breakdowns. A maintenance plan puts it on a schedule.

How much does a new HVAC system cost?

It depends on the size, the efficiency, the type of equipment and what the ducts need. Two houses of the same size can price differently. Our Tonnage Finder gives a planning size, and a visit gives you a firm written price with the options side by side.
