Why not the highest rating?
- Denser filters catch smaller particles but push back against the blower.
- A deep 4 inch cabinet gives a higher rating more room, with less restriction.
- A filter that is changed on time beats a fancy one that is clogged.

Four ideas behind every choice.
Rating
A higher MERV catches finer particles but adds resistance, so match it to the system.
Depth
A deep media filter has more surface area and breathes easier at the same rating.
Timing
A clogged filter starves the system of air, which raises bills and risks parts.
Size
A filter that does not fit lets dirty air slip around the edges.

How do I keep the air in my home healthy?
Change the filter on time, keep humidity in a comfortable range, seal and clean ducts when they need it and ventilate cooking and bath areas. For more help, ask about media filters, dehumidifiers, fresh air ventilation or air testing.
How often should I have my system serviced?
Once a year for each system is a good habit: cooling in spring and heating in fall. A tune-up cleans, measures and tests, so small problems are found before they become breakdowns. A maintenance plan puts it on a schedule.
My AC is not cooling. What should I check first?
Check that the thermostat is set to cool and has power, replace a dirty filter, make sure the breaker has not tripped and look for leaves or clutter around the outdoor unit. If the air is still warm, or ice has formed on the lines, turn it off and call us.
