The heart and lungs of the system.
The compressor and the coils do the heavy work of cooling. When one fails, the right move depends on its age, the system's condition and what a new part would really buy you.
- Tests: Electrical, pressure and visual
- Parts: Compressors, coils, fan motors, valves

What it is, and why it matters.
The compressor moves refrigerant through the system, and the evaporator and condenser coils move heat in and out of the house. Failures include a seized or electrically failed compressor, a corroded evaporator coil, a clogged condenser coil or a fan motor that no longer cools the coil. These are major repairs, and the decision to repair deserves careful math.
Nashville HVAC diagnoses compressor and coil problems with electrical tests, pressure readings and visual inspection, then gives you straight options: repair, replace the failed part or replace the system. Where parts are under manufacturer warranty, we check coverage first. We never recommend a major repair on a system that is not worth it.
Four things done right.
Straight math
We compare the repair with replacement so you do not sink money into a system at the end of its life.
Warranty first
If parts are still covered, we use that coverage before you pay.
Targeted repair
We replace what failed, not a bundle of parts you do not need.
Verified fix
After repair we test pressures, amps and temperature drop.

Compressor and Coil Repair: common questions
My compressor failed. Is the AC done?
Not always. If the system is newer and the rest is in good shape, a compressor can be worth replacing. If it is older, a new system is often the better value. We show you both.
Can a dirty condenser coil really cause damage?
Yes. A dirty coil makes the system run hotter and harder, which shortens the life of the compressor. Regular coil cleaning is one of the best protections.
